November 21, 2025 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations Within the scope of the protocol signed with Istanbul Üsküdar High School, GTU is strengthening high school–university collaboration by providing students with academic guidance, access to laboratories, and career support.
A cooperation protocol has been signed between Gebze Technical University (GTU) and Istanbul Üsküdar High School to enhance inter-institutional dialogue and develop social and scientific relations. The protocol was officially signed by GTU Vice-Rector Prof. Mahmut Durmuş and Istanbul Üsküdar High School Principal Zeki Yanık.
Joint Steps in Education and Science Under the signed protocol, academic trainings and seminars are planned for high school students and teachers. As part of the cooperation, technical visits will be organized, along with career events aimed at strengthening school-industry relations. Additionally, subject to fulfilling the necessary conditions, students will have the opportunity to utilize GTU’s advanced laboratory facilities and visit relevant academic units for on-site observation.
Guidance Support for Successful Students Another key objective of the protocol is to contribute to students’ academic and professional development. Accordingly, high-achieving students will receive guidance support to make informed decisions during their university preference process.
This initiative, taken in line with GTU’s strategy to expand its collaboration network at both regional and national levels, aims to bring the university’s knowledge and experience together with high school students, fostering the development of Türkiye’s future scientists. |
