November 6, 2025 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations A Social and Scientific Cooperation Protocol aimed at supporting the development of high school students is signed between Gebze Technical University (GTU) and the Administration of Darıca Denizyıldızları Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School (DYLMTAL).
The signing ceremony, held at the GTU Rectorate, was attended by Prof. Mahmut Durmuş, Vice-Rector of GTU; Murat Balay, Darıca District Director of National Education; and Barış Şimdi, Principal of Darıca Denizyıldızları Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, who all signed the protocol.
The protocol aims to strengthen social and scientific cooperation between the two institutions, particularly in the fields of information technologies, electrical and electronic technologies, radio and television technologies, and industrial automation technologies. Within the scope of this cooperation, various training programs, seminars, and technical visits will be organized for high school students and teachers, along with career activities designed to enhance school–industry collaboration. In addition, when deemed appropriate, students will have the opportunity to use GTU laboratories and visit academic departments, while high-achieving students will receive guidance and mentoring support to encourage them to pursue their university education at GTU. The protocol will remain in effect for three years from the date of signing. |
