November 5, 2025 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations Students from the Faculty of Architecture at Gebze Technical University (GTU) win an award in the competition organized as part of the YOUrban Project carried out in collaboration with Çayırova Municipality.
The "GençTasarım - Aşıklar Tepesi" (YoungDesign - Lovers' Hill) Urban Design and Architectural Ideas Student Projects Competition, held within the scope of the YOUrban (Youth Empowerment in Urban Decision Making) Project jointly conducted by GTU and Çayırova Municipality, has concluded.
GTU Faculty of Architecture students Ertuğrul Emre Hüsrev, Yusuf Çiftçi, Ataberk Kahraman (Department of Architecture) and İpek Tuana Ulusoy (Department of City and Regional Planning) received an Honorable Mention Award with their project titled “Oasis.”
Aiming to encourage the active participation of young people in the design processes of urban spaces, the competition stood out with its innovative and sustainable design concepts. The award-winning project by GTU students earned praise from the jury for its nature-integrated approach and original perspective on public space design. |
