November 4, 2025 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations The first olive harvest of the “GTU Forest Village Project”, located within the 152-decare olive grove on the Gebze Technical University (GTU) campus, is celebrated with great enthusiasm.

At the core of the project lies the goal of maintaining 1,741 olive trees spread across an area of 152,543 m² using organic methods, enhancing productivity, and passing this valuable olive culture on to future generations as a natural and sustainable agricultural product.
Within the scope of the project, it is also planned to process olive culture through scientific and agricultural methods, to introduce primary and secondary school students to the “from field to table” stages as an educational activity, and to design an olive museum in line with this vision. |
