October 10, 2025 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations Fatma Nur Esirci (PhD), a research assistant at the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Gebze Technical University (GTU), brings her work in the field of hardware security to the international stage. As part of this effort, Esirci conducts a short-term research visit at SBA Research, one of Austria’s leading information security research centers.
During her visit, Esirci delivered seminars to the center’s researchers on hardware security and hardware Trojan detection. In addition, planning sessions were held with the SBA Research team for future joint projects. This productive collaboration paved the way for new research opportunities that combine the fields of hardware security testing and combinatorial testing.
In the coming months, joint project initiatives in these innovative areas are expected to be evaluated and implemented. This international collaboration will further strengthen GTU’s scientific presence in the field of hardware security and make a valuable contribution to the global research network.
Established by prestigious institutions such as the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) and Graz University of Technology (TU Graz), SBA Research holds a leading position in the field of information security in Austria. The center conducts research in critical areas including software and hardware security, network security, cryptography, and security testing. |
