October 6, 2025 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations Gebze Technical University (GTU) signs an important cooperation protocol with UlaşımPark Inc., one of the affiliates of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. This protocol will bring together GTU’s scientific knowledge and the city’s public transportation practices, offering a new vision to the sector.
The protocol was formalized during a ceremony held at UlaşımPark’s General Directorate. The event was attended by Gebze Technical University Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Secretary-General Hayri Baraçlı (PhD), UlaşımPark General Manager Serhan Çatal, and Prof. Arif Çağdaş Aydınoğlu from GTU's Department of Geomatics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
This initiative, led by GTU, aims to support institutional development and strengthen sustainable urban transportation in the city. Through this collaboration, efficiency and sustainability in urban transportation will be enhanced. The protocol not only seeks to improve existing services but also aims to invest in the future transportation professionals within the university. By integrating scientific research into practical experience, GTU is preparing to make a valuable academic contribution to the future of Kocaeli’s transportation system. |
