GTU Academic Receives Fulbright Scholarship

Assoc. Prof. Nursel Erey from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science at Gebze Technical University (GTU), is awarded the prestigious Fulbright Academic Research Scholarship, one of the most reputable scholarship programs in the United States.

Within the scope of the significant scholarship, Assoc. Prof. Erey will conduct her research project titled “Algebraic Study on Combinatorial Ideals” as a visiting scholar at the University of Minnesota in the 2025–2026 Academic Year. During the project, she will collaborate with Prof. Victor Reiner from the University of Minnesota on problems in the field of combinatorial commutative algebra within theoretical mathematics.

Launched in 1946 by U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright, the program stands out as a global scholarship initiative aimed at strengthening scientific and cultural cooperation between countries.
