September 11, 2025- GTU Office of Press and Public Relations Students of Gebze Technical University (GTU) achieve remarkable success at TEKNOFEST, which brings together technology and aviation enthusiasts. Competing in the TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition organized by ROKETSAN between September 1-7, 2025, at the Aksaray Hisar Firing Range, GTU’s "Kılavuz Kaizen" Rocket Team proudly wins second place in the A2-Medium Altitude Rocket Competition.
Attracting thousands of young participants from across Türkiye and abroad, the competition witnessed GTU’s "Kılavuz Kaizen" Rocket Team successfully represent both the university and the future engineers of the nation, inspiring many along the way.
The team was led by captain Canpolat Göregen, with members Yunus Emre Çiftçi, Bayram Suat Kekeç, Mustafa Enes Yayla, Enes Pekdemir, Yüksel Yurtbahar, and Mustafa Cem Demirkol. The team’s academic advisor was Research Assistant Mehmet Orhan Şenaslan from GTU Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
Following the achievement, GTU Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar stated: “The success of our students once again demonstrates Gebze Technical University’s competence in engineering and the ability of our students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice. The achievements of young people in such prestigious competitions present an encouraging outlook for our country’s technological development. We are proud of our students and congratulate them and their advisor for their efforts.” |
