Gebze Technical University (GTU) participates in the International SME2B Business Forum Europe 2025 in Brussels as part of the Net0Manager Erasmus+ Project.

Gebze Technical University (GTU) participated in events held on September 3–4, 2025, in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the Net0Manager Erasmus+ Project, supported by the European Union. During the program, the project results were shared with international stakeholders at the SME2B Business Forum Europe 2025 on September 3, while the Net0Manager Project Closing Meeting on September 4 evaluated the project outcomes.

Representing GTU, Prof. Selçuk Toprak (Project Coordinator), Prof. Banu Çetin, Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Balçık, and Research Assistant Oğuz Dal attended the meetings. The forum brought together representatives from the European Commission, the European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME network, innovation and business organizations, and partner institutions from Africa to discuss the pathway for SMEs to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Additionally, the educational tools developed by the Net0Manager Project and best practices for SMEs’ green transformation were shared.

The Net0Manager Educational Toolkit, online learning platform, pilot applications, and policy recommendation documents developed within the project were presented as resources supporting SMEs’ carbon management and green transformation processes. The outputs were published in English, Italian, Spanish, Lithuanian, Hungarian, and Turkish to ensure wide accessibility. Prof. Selçuk Toprak emphasized that these resources provide valuable contributions to SMEs, noting that all educational materials and tools are freely accessible to everyone.

Through this international collaboration, GTU has strengthened its partnerships with institutions in both Europe and Africa while making its academic contributions in carbon management and sustainability visible at the international level. The project outputs are expected to have a long-term impact on SMEs’ green transformation processes.
