July 10, 2025 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations
As part of a social responsibility project led by the Social Impact Coordination Office of Gebze Technical University (GTU), clothing and shoe donations are delivered to students of Tekebaşı Kindergarten in Hatay, one of the regions affected by the 6th February 2023 earthquakes.
The project was carried out with the voluntary participation of students from the GTU Faculty of Business Administration's Non-Thesis Master's Program, under the coordination of the Social Impact Office. The aid was directed specifically to children studying at Tekebaşı Kindergarten in Hatay, who were affected by the devastating earthquakes.
Conducted entirely on a voluntary basis as part of the “Management Skills” course, the project took place on June 4, 2025, with the active involvement of 50 graduate students. The in-kind donations collected during the project were delivered directly to the students in need.
Field coordination was carried out by GTU Business Administration Faculty's graduate students Uğur Çınar and Miraç Baytekin. The project not only met children's physical needs but also contributed to strengthening awareness of sharing, solidarity, and social responsibility.
This meaningful initiative was brought to life through the dedicated efforts of GTU graduate students, the guidance of Social Impact Coordinator Prof. Meral Elçi, and the voluntary support of literature teacher Medine Miçooğulları, all coming together around a shared sense of social sensitivity and responsibility. |
