The "AI-Driven Industrial Transformation: Artificial Intelligence Awareness Seminar for Employees and Managers in the Kocaeli Region" is held at the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KCI) Conference Hall through a collaborative effort between Gebze Technical University (GTU), Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KCI), and the GTU Technology Transfer Office (TTO). The seminar aims to introduce the transformative power and practical applications of artificial intelligence in industry to business representatives in the Kocaeli region.
The event began with an opening speech by KCI Assembly President Hasan Tahsin Tuğrul and continued with a panel featuring renowned academics. GTU Computer Engineering faculty members Assoc. Prof. Habil Kalkan and Assoc. Prof. Yakup Genç, along with Prof. Yusuf Sinan Akgül, Dean of GTU Faculty of Engineering, delivered presentations on various aspects of artificial intelligence technologies.
During the seminar, topics such as the fundamentals and key application areas of artificial intelligence, its impact on business processes, and the potential benefits it offers to the Kocaeli region were thoroughly discussed. Sector-specific examples and recent developments in the AI field were also shared with the participants. A Q&A session followed the panel, during which attendees found the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion.
This seminar is expected to significantly contribute to the technological transformation of the Kocaeli region by enhancing awareness of artificial intelligence among the local industrial and business community.
