The Faculty of Architecture at Gebze Technical University (GTU) installs the “Steel Tree” project in front of the east façade of Block N on campus on May 29, 2025, with the aim of enhancing “Structural Thinking” and strengthening the “Architectural Mark.” The installation event is attended by GTU Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar, representatives of the sponsor companies, faculty members, academic staff, and students.
The “Steel Tree” project was led by Prof. Elif Özlem Aydın and coordinated by Asst. Prof. Fatma İlknur Kara and Assoc. Prof. İbrahim Türkeri. The project aims to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience in architectural education.
The project was supported by Civil Engineer Sibel Güven, Founder, GVN Design; Zbs Alfaçelik Construction, Industry and Trade Inc.; Zeman Çelik Construction, Industry and Trade Inc. officials, including General Manager Ersoy Asil, Project Coordinator Civil Engineer Recep Aydın (PhD), and Production Manager Selman Güneş; as well as PROCON Engineering. |
