Spring Festival at Gebze Technical University offers students an unforgettable experience with music, dance, and vibrant activities.
The Festival Draws Large Crowds
Students of Gebze Technical University (GTU) had a blast at the Spring Festival held on May 22–23, 2025. The festival area turned into a lively fairground with colorful stands, live music performances, and dance shows, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the campus.
Vibrant Events and Performances
On the first day, the Latin Dance Society’s performance and the play "JÜRİ", directed by Egemen Bergama, Founding President of the Theater Society, received great acclaim. In the evening, concerts by the bands "KIRIK BAGET" and "KARMAŞA" took the entertainment to its peak. On the second day, standout events included the “Slow Race” organized by RIDERS, a traditional folk dance performance from the Artvin region by the GTU Folk Dances Society under the guidance of Instructor Sinan Tokoğlu, and live shows by the bands "MAVERA", "İCAZ", and "ÇAKRA". The festival continued late into the night with DJ KENZABEATZ energizing the crowd with his set.
Creative Stands and Workshops
Student societies offered a wide range of activities at their creatively designed stands, from trivia contests to virtual reality experiences. Highlights included a pasta-making workshop by the Gastronomy Society, a treasure hunt game by the Blockchain Society, and the “Which Tree Are You?” personality quiz organized by the Young TEMA Society.
Strong Turnout and Renewed Motivation
Held after a demanding academic year, the festival helped boost students' morale and motivation. With its colorful scenes and joyful moments, the GTU Spring Festival left a lasting impression on everyone who attended.
