A cooperation protocol in education, science, arts, sports, and culture is signed between Gebze Technical University (GTU) and Kanuni Social Sciences High School.
The Cooperation Protocol on Education was signed at the Rectorate of Gebze Technical University (GTU) by GTU Vice-Rector Prof. Mahmut Durmuş and Selim Akbulut, Principal of Kanuni Social Sciences High School. Aiming to enhance the quality of educational services in the region through partnerships with educational institutions, GTU will provide mentorship for high school students towards scientific studies under this protocol. The university will also offer expert support for in-service training, improving the school’s educational infrastructure, and enriching the curriculum. High school students will be able to visit the university’s academic and research divisions accompanied by their teachers, use laboratories when appropriate, and benefit from the university library. In addition, university faculty members will be able to teach high school students in suitable cases. The two parties will also cooperate on the preparation and execution of joint project proposals to be funded by national and international sources.
Kanuni Social Sciences High School, on the other hand, will allow university staff to collect data and conduct research at the school. It will support the university’s social impact activities and ensure student and teacher participation in scientific, artistic, athletic, and cultural events organized by the university. Furthermore, the school will provide student and venue support for the university’s promotional activities and conduct guidance programs to encourage successful students to choose Gebze Technical University in university entrance exams. |
