GTU teams achieve second place in League of Legends and third place in Valorant at the E-Sports Türkiye Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation in Kayseri.
The E-Sports Türkiye Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation was held on May 14–15, 2025, in Talas, Kayseri, hosted by the District Directorate of Youth and Sports. GTU teams achieved second place in League of Legends and third place in Valorant.
GTU Valorant E-Sports Team consists of the following names: Kılıçarslan Atila, Tuna Aytuğ Ersöz, Ömer Buğra Ateş, Mert Kaya, Tarık Efe Diler, Görkem Kılıçoğlu, Cenker Güreşçi
GTU League of Legends E-Sports Team consists of the following names: Alper Tavşanoğlu, Kağan Arda Uslu, Taner Bayram, Ömer Faruk Sezer, Muhammet Taha Aydoğdu, Emre Akpınar, Resul Talha Açıkgöz
A total of 46 athletes from 7 universities across Türkiye that qualified for the finals came together in a tournament where digital competition reached its peak. Throughout the two-day event, young players fiercely competed in teams, sweating it out for the championship title.
As the first large-scale e-sports event held in Talas, the tournament drew significant attention from both local residents and university communities.
