GTU Academic Receives the Best Paper Award from Japan

Assoc. Prof. Ceren Çubukçu-Çerasi, a faculty member in the Department of Management Information Systems at the Faculty of Business Administration at Gebze Technical University (GTU), achieves significant international recognition. Çerasi receives the Best Paper Award for her study titled “Evaluating Digitalization Capabilities: The Impact of Education, Technology Usage, and Organizational Factors in Turkey's Technology Sector”, which she presents at the 16th International Conference on E-Education, E-Business, E-Management and E-Learning (IC4e) held in Tokyo, Japan from April 26–29, 2025.

Prof. Çubukçu-Çerasi's award-winning study examines the digitalization capabilities of employees in Türkiye’s technology sector from multiple perspectives. The research provides a detailed analysis of the effects of various demographic and organizational factors—such as gender, education level, years of experience, company size, technology usage habits, and managerial roles—on these capabilities. It also holds significant value in understanding Türkiye’s digital transformation potential and offers critical insights for shaping human resources strategies in the field.
