At the 16th Board of Trustees Meeting of the Gebze Technical Education and Research Foundation, GTU Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar is re-elected as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, reaffirming the trust placed in him.
The 16th Board of Trustees Meeting of the Gebze Technical Education and Research Foundation, which carries out various initiatives to support the university’s educational and research activities, was held at the GTU Congress and Cultural Center.
In addition to the GTU administration, the meeting was attended by Prof. Haluk Görgün, Secretary of Turkish Defence Industries; Fikri Işık, Honorary Chair of the Foundation; Mustafa Güler, District Governor of Süleymanpaşa (Tekirdağ); İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu, Former Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality; Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Kocaeli Chamber of Industry; Abdurrahman Aslantaş, Chairman of the Board of Gebze Chamber of Commerce; Mehmet Ali Okur, Vice President and General Manager of Marmara Technopark; Prof. Abdurrahman Akyol, General Manager, Teknopark Istanbul; faculty member; and members of the foundation’s Board of Trustees.
The meeting commenced with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar, GTU Rector and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Gebze Technical Education and Research Foundation, delivered the opening speech. This was followed by a briefing on the university by GTU Vice-Rector Prof. Mahmut Durmuş. After the formal opening of the general assembly and the formation of the council board, agenda items were discussed and put to vote. Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar then presented the foundation’s activity report.
Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, reaffirming his leadership.
The meeting concluded with expressions of wishes and suggestions, followed by a family photo.
