The project titled "A Study on a Model To Enhance the Functionality of Career Centers," in which Gebze Technical University (GTU) is one of the partners, is awarded funding under the Erasmus+ Higher Education Program's 2025 Call within the framework of the Higher Education Mobility Consortium Accreditation (KA130). The project will be coordinated by Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBU) and carried out in collaboration with GTU, Bursa Technical University (BTU), Bursa Uludağ University (BUU), Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University (BAIBU), and Kocaeli University (KOU).

Prof. Mustafa Türkmen, Director of GTU's Career and Professional Development Research and Application Center, will take part as key personnel in the project. The aim is to strengthen national and international cooperation among career centers and to develop an effective and sustainable model through the exchange of best practices. The project also aspires to enhance the functionality of career centers not only within the partner universities, but also across Türkiye. The structure to be established based on the knowledge and experiences gained will contribute to increasing the internationalization capacities of career centers.

Furthermore, the project envisions supporting career centers in creating innovative and sustainable structures integrated with industry, offering international career opportunities not only for students, but also to academic staff. Thanks to the mobility and joint activity opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ KA130 Program, the project aims to foster experience sharing among consortium member universities, as well as deepen academic collaborations, research partnerships, and knowledge networks. The project is planned to run for a duration of three years.
