Directorate of Information Technology at Gebze Technical University (GTU), continuing its efforts to ensure the effective and efficient use of public resources, achieves significant savings through its recently-implemented projects.
By developing in-house, locally-produced software solutions and digital transformation initiatives, the Directorate has not only enhanced service quality, but also substantially reduced costs. Open-source-based systems, created as alternatives to licensed software, have generated savings worth millions of Turkish lira annually while also maximizing data security.
In particular, projects such as electronic document management, digital archiving systems, and automation have helped reduce paper usage, thereby contributing to environmental protection.
IT Director Sefa Yıldırımtepe emphasized their commitment to continue developing budget-friendly projects that will enhance public service efficiency in the future. These cost-saving efforts are expected to make a significant long-term contribution to the national economy. |
