Prof. Hasari Çelebi, Vice-Rector of Gebze Technical University (GTU), meets with the rectors of leading universities in Azerbaijan, taking concrete steps toward future academic collaboration. The meetings are also attended by senior administrators from Yıldız Technical University and Istanbul Technical University.

Separate meetings were held with Assoc. Prof. Shahin Bayramov, Rector of Karabakh University; Assoc. Prof. Rufat Azizov, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU); and Prof. Gulchohra Mammadova, Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC). In addition, discussions were held with Prof. Vilayat Valiyev, Rector of both Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University (TAU), focusing on establishing connections between institutions and exploring potential areas of cooperation.

As a result of the thorough assessments and the warm, collegial atmosphere of the meetings, the parties agreed to pursue joint academic and research initiatives, particularly at the graduate level. A key point of focus was the development of dual-degree master’s programs in the fields of architecture and environmental engineering. The discussions also included topics such as student and faculty exchange programs, joint scientific projects, co-publications, information sharing, and collaboration in laboratory and research infrastructure.

Furthermore, the parties reached a consensus on organizing joint extracurricular academic activities, collaborative research projects, conferences, and certificate programs. These cooperation efforts are regarded as a significant step toward strengthening educational and scientific ties between the two brotherly nations.
