Significant Research Support from TÜBİTAK to GTU Students

A total of 157 students from Gebze Technical University (GTU) are been awarded support under the 2209-A Research Projects Support Program for University Students and the 2209-B Industry-Oriented Research Projects Support Program for University Students.

The list of recipients for the first call of 2024 under the 2209-A Research Projects Support Program for University Students and the 2209-B Industry-Oriented Research Projects Support Program for University Students, both run by the Directorate of Science Fellowships and Grant Programs (BİDEB) of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK), has been announced.

Under the first call of 2024, 136 student projects from 19 departments at GTU have been awarded support under the 2209-A program, while 21 student projects from 7 departments have been awarded support under the 2209-B program, making a total of 157 supported student projects.

The faculty and department distribution of students supported under TÜBİTAK 2209-A is as follows: Faculty of Engineering: Bioengineering – 17, Environmental Engineering – 10, Electronics Engineering – 9, Materials Science and Engineering – 5, Chemical Engineering – 8, Computer Engineering – 13, Mechanical Engineering – 1, Industrial Engineering – 2, Civil Engineering – 1, Geomatics Engineering – 3 student projects. Faculty of Science: Molecular Biology and Genetics – 38, Chemistry – 7, Physics – 3, Mathematics – 2 student projects. Faculty of Business Administration: Management – 2, Economics – 2 student projects. Aerospace Faculty: Aeronautical Engineering – 3 student projects. Faculty of Architecture: Architecture – 5, City and Regional Planning – 5 student projects.

The faculty and department distribution of students supported under TÜBİTAK 2209-B is as follows: Faculty of Engineering: Bioengineering – 4, Mechanical Engineering – 4, Industrial Engineering – 1, Electronics Engineering – 5, Computer Engineering – 5, Materials Science and Engineering – 1 student project. Aerospace Faculty: Aeronautical Engineering – 1 student project.
