The "Campus Navigation" application, developed by the Directorate of Information Technology at Gebze Technical University (GTU), gets launched to facilitate transportation and information flow within the campus for students, staff, and visitors.
Sefa Yıldırımtepe, Director of Information Technology, emphasized in his statement that public resources were used effectively thanks to the reconfiguration of the HES code devices previously utilized during the pandemic. He noted that this enabled the implementation of a valuable service for university users.
"Campus Navigation" features a detailed map that allows users to quickly find their way to any location within the GTU campus. Easily accessible on mobile phones via a QR code, the map is particularly helpful for new students and visitors. Finding faculty buildings, administrative divisions, or other key locations is no longer a complicated task.
In addition to its mapping feature, the application offers several other functions: Users can instantly access the university’s latest announcements, upcoming events, news, and even the daily cafeteria menu. Thanks to these integrated features, campus life at GTU will become more organized and access to information will significantly be improved.
