GTU Business Administration Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Hanife Deniz Yurtseven's project on youth unemployment receives support under TÜBİTAK 1002-A program.
The project titled “The Effect of Parents’ Socio-Economic Status on a Young Individual’s Probability of Being NEET: A Causal Analysis for Türkiye”, led by Assoc. Prof. Hanife Deniz Yurtseven from the Department of Economics at Gebze Technical University (GTU) Faculty of Business Administration, has been granted support under the TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Module.
Within the scope of the project, the impact of parents’ socio-economic status on the likelihood of young individuals being “Not in Education, Employment, or Training” (NEET) will be examined. This Türkiye-specific study is distinguished as the first project investigating the causal relationship on this topic.
The findings of the research are expected to contribute to the development of current education, employment, and family policies and to shed light on strategies aimed at enabling youth to participate more actively in social life. |
