Gebze Technical University (GTU) embraces the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan through iftar programs attended by academic and administrative staff, student society presidents, alumni, and students. The iftar gatherings, held at different times, witness a high level of participation.
The student iftar held on March 18 coincided with the Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs’ Remembrance Day, making it even more meaningful. Before the iftar, a ceremony was held to honor the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The program emphasized messages of unity and solidarity, underscoring the importance of upholding national values.
GTU Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar and university administrators attended all iftar programs, coming together with the GTU family. In his speeches, Rector Mantar highlighted the significance of Ramadan and emphasized unity and togetherness. During the student iftar, he also announced exciting updates for the campus. Listening to students’ requests and suggestions, he assured them that new projects would be implemented to boost their motivation.
The iftar programs organized throughout Ramadan strengthened the bonds within the GTU family, reinforcing a sense of solidarity and sharing. By gathering at these iftars, GTU members experienced the spiritual essence of Ramadan together and shared its blessings.
Iftar dinners for student societies, Nilüfer Hatun KYK Girls’ Dormitory, the Cleaning Services Coordination Office, and GTU Sports Club were also among the iftar events held throughout Ramadan. |
