At an event held at the Faculty of Architecture at Gebze Technical University (GTU), studies conducted within the scope of the ŞBP 301 and ŞBP 302 projects are presented to the officials from Lüleburgaz Municipality. Students also engage in discussions on potential collaborations with the municipality.
As part of the "Lüleburgaz: Meeting with the Local Government" event, the Department of City and Regional Planning at GTU shared the ŞBP 301 Project V and ŞBP 302 Project VI works conducted throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. The event, held on March 3, 2025, at the Block N Conference Hall of the Faculty of Architecture, featured presentations of student-developed projects to Lüleburgaz Municipality representatives.
The event was attended by GTU Faculty of Architecture academics and Lüleburgaz Municipality officials. Following the opening speech by Asst. Prof. Zeynep Deniz Yaman-Galantini, selected student projects were presented. Later, Anıl Sülçen, Director of Zoning and Urban Planning at Lüleburgaz Municipality, shared his evaluations of the projects.
Additionally, an exhibition showcasing student projects was organized as part of the event. The projects on display were examined from the perspectives of urban planning and sustainable urbanism, facilitating knowledge exchange between the execution team, students, and municipal officials. Shaped by students' creative solutions and the guidance of academics, the projects were seen as a significant step toward strengthening collaborations with local government.
Following the event, a meeting was held with Asst. Prof. Zeynep Deniz Yaman-Galantini, Asst. Prof. Yaşasın Eryılmaz, Duygu Kanık (PhD), Research Assistant Gökçen Özalp, Research Assistant Kardelen Öztürk, Research Assistant Elif Bengi Güneş-Yerlikaya, Research Assistant Yiğit Can Yavuz, and officials from the Lüleburgaz Municipality Zoning and Urban Planning Department to evaluate collaboration opportunities between GTU and Lüleburgaz Municipality. |
