As part of the Erasmus 152-YOU project titled "Environmental Awareness and Social Cooperation: Youth and a Sustainable Future," coordinated by the Tuzla District Directorate of National Education, 26 university students from 5 countries (Türkiye, Hungary, Czech Republic, North Macedonia, Malta) visit GTU.
Sustainability Office Coordinator Prof. Melek Özkan delivered a seminar to the youth on climate crisis, 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and sustainability. During the event, aimed at raising awareness about carbon dioxide emissions, the climate crisis, and the importance of transitioning to renewable energies, young people shared their opinions on approaches and practices in different countries. The students also had the opportunity to learn about toxicity studies in the laboratories of the Department of Environmental Engineering at GTU. |
