GTU Academic To Take Part in a Europe-Wide Urban Sustainability Project

Assoc. Prof. Fitnat Cimşit Koş, a faculty member at Gebze Technical University (GTU) Department of Architecture, joins a working group under an international project accepted by the COST Association. The project focuses on urban sustainability and inclusive art forms.

 

Assoc. Prof. Fitnat Cimşit Koş’s application to the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) Association has been approved. She will take part in the WG3 - Urban Installations and Gathering Points working group, coordinated by the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa (Nysa, Poland), as part of the project CA23117 - Connecting Critical Pedagogies, Inclusive Art Forms, and Alternative Barometers for Urban Sustainability, led by Universidade Lusófona (Lisbon, Portugal).

 

The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) was established in 1971 and aims to bring together experts across Europe through international scientific networks called COST Actions. Türkiye is among the founding members of COST. This platform facilitates the participation of national researchers in international collaborations and helps them expand their research on a global scale.

 

With the participation of Assoc. Prof. Fitnat Cimşit Koş, this project will focus on current and significant issues such as urban sustainability, critical pedagogies, and inclusive art forms. The project aims to bring together researchers from different disciplines to develop collaborative solutions.
