Research Assistant Fethiye Coşkun from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Gebze Technical University is awarded funding from the TÜBİTAK-ARDEB 1002-A Rapid Support Module for her project titled "Experimental Investigation of a Multi-Evaporator Compact Cooling System Under Dynamic Operating Conditions."
The TÜBİTAK 1002-A project will be carried out under the supervision of Research Assistant Fethiye Coşkun, with Asst. Prof. Recep Önler serving as the project advisor. The research team will examine the performance of an advanced cooling system under various temperature and environmental conditions. This system aims to offer a compact and energy-efficient solution, particularly suitable for high-tech vehicles such as electric aircraft.
As electronic devices become increasingly smaller and more powerful, thermal management has become a critical issue. In sectors such as aviation and electric vehicles, excessive heat generation due to increased power consumption poses a significant challenge. Traditional cooling methods are often insufficient to manage the rising heat, leading to a growing demand for more efficient and adaptive cooling solutions.
The research team will analyze how the system responds to heat fluctuations and different operating conditions using experimental studies and computer-aided simulations. The project aims to contribute to the development of more reliable and efficient cooling technologies.
This study aspires to address key thermal management challenges in future electric air vehicles and electronic systems. |
