GTU presents a roadmap for green transformation in industry. The future of industry is shaped by green transformation.
Gebze Technical University (GTU) continues to emphasize the importance of green transformation in industry and strengthens academic collaborations in this field. At an event organized by the GTU's Technology Transfer Office on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the GTU Congress and Cultural Center, with the participation of GTU academics, the adaptation of industry to the green transformation process was discussed.
In his presentation titled “Green Transformation in Industry: Regulations and Opportunities,” GTU Vice-Rector Prof. Mahmut Durmuş addressed the regulations governing the green transformation process, the opportunities it offers in terms of academia-industry collaborations, GTU’s strategic role in this transformation, and the contributions academics could make to projects.
During the event, subject headings such as Green Transformation in Industry (SAYEM) 1831, 1832, and 1833 projects, the Industrial Emissions Management Regulation and the certification process for Green Transformation in Industry (SYD) for companies, KOSGEB support programs and funding opportunities, the impacts of green transformation on industry and academic collaborations were also discussed in detail.
Following the discussions on scientific contributions to the green transformation of industry and increasing collaboration with the sector, the event concluded with a Q&A session. |
