Gebze Technical University (GTU) Festival Area hosts an unforgettable evening on December 6, 2024, with the 6th Traditional Butterfly Fire Event. Organized in collaboration with Gebze Municipality and the GTU Career Development Center (KAGEM), the event provides participants with moments of joy through music and entertainment.
The event began with an opening speech by GTU Vice-Rector Prof. Damla Arısan. Prof. Arısan emphasized that the event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of various student clubs at the university and highlighted the contribution of such events to GTU’s social life. Addressing the students, she wished them an enjoyable evening and underlined the importance of togetherness.
The program continued with performances by preliminary bands and later the main band of the GTU Music and Art Society. In the evening, Çakra the Band and İcaz the Band took the stage, offering the audience a music-filled experience. Free food and beverages were provided by GTU’s Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports, Gebze Municipality, and Fesleğen Catering. The night ended with an enthusiastic DJ performance as a grand finale.
This well-attended event offered students much-needed morale and motivation, especially ahead of their final exams. |
