Asst. Prof. Bahar Yıldız-Kutman, a faculty member at Gebze Technical University's (GTU) Institute of Biotechnology, participates in the IX. International Gastromasa Gastronomy Conference & Fair held at the Haliç Congress Center.
During the event, Prof. Bahar Yıldız-Kutman took part in a workshop organized with Barilla, engaging in a discussion with the world-renowned Eataly Istanbul Chef and Italian Cuisine Expert Claudio Chinali on university-industry collaboration. Kutman spoke about examples of joint projects conducted by GTU Institute of Biotechnology and Mavruz, a supplier for Eataly Restaurant. She also highlighted the research conducted at the Dr. İbrahim Bodur Sustainable and Traceable Agriculture Test and Analysis Laboratory, established under GTU's Institute of Biotechnology with the valuable contributions of Kale Group and the Kaleseramik Education, Health, and Social Welfare Foundation (KSV). Additionally, she informed the audience about tomato production and research activities carried out at Mavruz.
