November 8, 2024 - GTU Office of Press and Public Relations
The report highlighting GTU's activities toward sustainability and ongoing intensive works in this area has been made public.
The Sustainability Report, prepared by the GTU Sustainability Office, aims to provide information about activities contributing to sustainability at Gebze Technical University (GTU). The report, covering sustainability activities from May 27, 2023, to May 27, 2024, ensures that these efforts are shared with rating organizations, especially GreenMetric, as well as with GTU's academic and administrative staff, students, and other stakeholders.
Prepared in alignment with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the report consists of six main sections: Strong Infrastructure and Sustainable Campus; Education, Research, and Social Impact; Healthy Campus, Reduction of Poverty and Inequality; Climate Action Plan and Clean Energy; Responsible Production, Consumption, and Waste; Clean Water and Ecosystem; and Transportation.
Through this report, GTU transparently shares its commitment to sustainability with the public, while also showcasing the steps the university continues to take to achieve ecological, social, and economic sustainability. With these efforts, GTU is contributing to building a sustainable future, not only within its own scope, but also at the regional and national levels. |
