Asst. Prof. Muhammad Sohaib Jamal Solaija, an academic at Gebze Technical University (GTU), receives "Doctoral Thesis of the Year Award" from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
YÖK Excellence Awards 2024 were presented during the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 Academic Year, held at the Beştepe National Congress and Cultural Center. The event was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, ministers, YÖK President Prof. Erol Özvar, GTU Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar, other rectors, academics, and students. During the ceremony, Asst. Prof. Muhammad Sohaib Jamal Solaija, Faculty Member at the Institute of Defense Technologies and Assistant Coordinator at the International Cooperation Office at GTU, received the YÖK 2024 Excellence Award in the Science and Engineering Sciences Category for his doctoral dissertation titled “Coordinated Multi-Point Systems for Future Wireless Communication Networks.” The award was presented to Prof. Solaija by President Erdoğan.
At GTU, Asst. Prof. Muhammad Sohaib Jamal Solaija's research focuses on ensuring the security of wireless communication using physical layer techniques and developing energy-efficient wireless communication solutions.
