Associate Professor Gamze Gediz İliş, Faculty Member, Department of Mechanical Engineering at Gebze Technical University (GTU), achieves success by reaching the finals with her project titled "Self-Learning Thermal Management Battery Pack Solution" at the Women and Democracy Foundation's (KADEM) "Women in Innovation" Entrepreneurship Camp.

In her statements about the project, Prof. Gamze Gediz İliş said, “We offer software and hardware solutions for better cooling of energy storage systems and batteries in electric vehicles. With this project, the lifespan of batteries will increase by about 25%, and their performance will improve due to being in a healthier environment. We provide a solution to the overheating problem of batteries during aggressive driving, especially due to climate change and high temperatures.”

This year, 320 female entrepreneurs applied to the "Women in Innovation" project organized by KADEM to support and mentor entrepreneurial women in two separate categories. Following evaluations by expert juries in their fields, 31 female entrepreneurs qualified for the finals. The finalists will participate in a week-long training, and the award ceremony will be held on September 22, 2024.

We congratulate our academic and wish her continued success.
