The prestigious A B Wood Medal, awarded annually by the Institute of Acoustics in the UK to scientists who have made significant international contributions in the field of underwater acoustics, has been awarded for 2024 to Özkan Sertlek, who completed his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Serkan Aksoy at the Department of Electronics Engineering at Gebze Technical University (GTU).
