GTU's Department of Computer Engineering Receives MÜDEK Accreditation

The quality of education at GTU is once again certified, as the Department of Computer Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering is awarded an accreditation certificate.

Following the accreditation of the Department of Electronics Engineering and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK), the Department of Computer Engineering at Gebze Technical University (GTU) has also been accredited by MÜDEK. The MÜDEK Accreditation and EUR-ACE label, which certify that the education program is conducted based on approved standards, have been granted for two years, valid from May 1, 2024, to September 30, 2026.

In a statement on the subject, GTU Rector Prof. Hacı Ali Mantar said, "The rightful place of GTU among the best universities in our country has once again been certified with this accreditation, confirming that GTU's contemporary, internationally-accepted, and universally-approved standards are adhered to. In addition to the increased quality of engineering education provided in accordance with the standards and criteria brought by MÜDEK accreditation, the EUR-ACE® label that comes with MÜDEK accreditation will provide many benefits to our students and graduates. Especially during this university preference period, we expect prospective university students to consider this aspect when making their choices. After achieving FEDEK and MİAK certifications, I want to reiterate our goal to obtain accreditation for each of our departments, taking the quality of our education, which we offer at world standards, even further with MÜDEK.
