Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar has recently had breakfast with international students continuing their higher education at GTU and answered their questions.
The breakfast, which was organized by Gebze Technical University (GTU) International Relations Coordination Office, was attended by GTU Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar, his administration, President of the Federation of International Student Associations (UDEF) Abdullah Muhammed İslam, academics, administrative staff, and international students.
During the breakfast, Asst. Prof. Dr. Bahar Yıldız-Kutman, Coordinator of International Relations, provided information about GTU.
In his speech, GTU Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar talked about the efforts being made to increase the number of international students at GTU and stated that better opportunities would be created for these students.
Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar mentioned in his speech that GTU is among the highest quality universities in Türkiye with its mission to conduct applications and research in high technology and to quickly transfer these to the industry for the economic benefit of society. He noted that, considering this quality, the number of international students at GTU is not at the desired level, and they aim to admit more students with ongoing efforts.
GTU Rector asked international students to share the details of their quality education life here with relevant institutions and prospective students in their countries, acting as ambassadors of the university. He requested their participation in the efforts to be recognized and preferred from abroad.
Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar emphasized the supportive role of state policies regarding international cooperation and students, and invited prospective international students to GTU to benefit from higher education at world standards with the support of YÖK and the state. He answered questions from the students.
During the event, UDEF President Abdullah Muhammed İslam also addressed the students, asking them to stay in touch and shared the work they are doing regarding the problems of international students.
