May 20, 2024-GTU Office of Press and Public Relations During the GTU Spring Festival organized by student clubs at GTU as part of the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, students had a great time.
The Spring Festival, held at Gebze Technical University (GTU) Festival Area, featured various workshops, refreshments, concerts, dance performances, and DJ shows, with significant student participation. The festival began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem. GTU Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar visited the student society stands to learn about their activities.
The festival saw performances and stand presentations from clubs such as Google Developer Student Clubs, Icaz Music Band, Materials Science Society, Construction Society, Chemistry Club, Aviation and Space Club, International Students Club, GİKAP, Cis, BIOS Club, R&D Technology and Innovation Society, Quality Society, Social Sciences Society, Business Economics Club, Mathematics Club, IEEE, Computer Society, Young Red Crescent, Cosmos Club, Theater Club, Hadok, Robotics and Automation, Rowing Sailing and Canoe Society, Photography Club, Chemical Engineering Club, MİTA, Music and Art Society, Group Karmaşa, Role Playing and Board Games Society, GTU Rover, Ahbap GTU, Chess Club, Latin Dance Society, and INTEM.
In his opening speech at the festival organized as part of the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, GTU Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar congratulated the students on their holiday and highlighted the importance of student activities for the university. He emphasized that support for students would continue in every aspect. He mentioned the social facilities planned to be offered on campus shortly and stated that all efforts would be completed as soon as possible to create a vibrant 24/7 campus. Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar thanked the student clubs, Darıca and Gebze branches of the Red Crescent, the Gebzeli Village Women’s Platform, the Social Impact Coordintion Office, the children affected by the earthquake for their artwork displayed in the exhibition, and Gebze Municipality. |
