Within the scope of the festival, Professor Dr. Meral Elçi, Social Impact Coordinator of Gebze Technical University (GTU), along with Assistant Professor Fatma Karaoğlu from the Department of Mathematics and Assistant Professor Tülay Ayyıldız from the Department of Computer Engineering led the Rover Team and the "Kuzgun" Team in setting up stands, providing participants with an unforgettable experience.
The Rover Team and the Kuzgun Team explained the mathematics behind the infrastructure of the robotic vehicles they produced at their stands. The GTU Rover Team elaborated on how they utilized mathematics in every step, from the movement of the vehicle to energy management. Meanwhile, the GTU Kuzgun Team shared with participants the mathematics behind unmanned aerial vehicle design and the role of mathematics in algorithms and software used in TEKNOFEST competitions.
The GTU teams guided both children and adults to explore the exciting world of robots and UAVs. The Social Impact Coordination Office of GTU expressed gratitude to Dr. Can Ozan Oğuz, Dr. Ezgi Kantarcı Oğuz, Prof. Dr. Müge Er Kanuni, the "Matematiğin Peşinde" team, and all students for their support in organizing the Tutam Tutam Mathematics Festival, particularly to the Turkish Mathematical Society.
The festival, organized by the Matematiğin Peşinde team, was free entrance and open to the public. |
