GTU students have been awarded the third prize at the Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Europe Awards Ceremony.
The Huawei ICT Competition 2023-2024 Europe Awards Ceremony was held in Istanbul on April 24, 2024, with the participation of more than 200 university students, instructors, public officials, and thought leaders from over 10 countries and regions. This year's ICT Competition took place in four categories: innovation, networking, cloud, and computing. In the ICT Competition, where more than 700 students from 100 universities in 22 European countries participated, Gebze Technical University (GTU) students have received the third place award in the cloud computing category. The 3rd place award has been received by the Turkey Cloud Team 3 team, consisting of Tugay İçen, a 3rd-year student at GTU, Ahmet Usluoğlu, a 4th year student at GTU, and Arda Süerdem with academic guidance provided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Göktürk, a faculty member at GTU's Department of Computer Engineering.
