Students at Gebze Technical University (GTU) have started a sit-in to support Palestine, which is under attack by Israel, by issuing a press release.
In response to the suffering experienced by the Palestinian people due to Israeli attacks, students in the USA and Europe have shown support on their campuses. GTU students will also support this cause with a sit-in. On May 6, after starting a march at the main entrance of GTU, a press release in front of the GTU Rectorate marked the beginning of the sit-in. The press statement made by the students was attended by GTU Rector Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar and Gebze Mayor Zinnur Büyükgöz, who both showed their support. The sit-in in front of the Rectorate building will continue until the evening of Friday, May 10.
