GTU Environmental Engineering undergraduate students support Gebze Municipality's ‘0 Waste 1 World Project’ to raise environmental awareness.
Gebze Technical University (GTU), which cares about social contribution as well as research and academic activities, supported the ‘0 Waste 1 World Project’ initiated by Gebze Municipality with Environmental Engineering undergraduate students. The aim of the project initiated in Gebze: To create a sustainable environment, to increase environmental awareness, to raise social awareness on waste separation, to establish an effective and efficient waste management system in Gebze and to ensure that all these become a culture. Within the scope of the project, students will first inform citizens about environmental issues and ensure that they understand the importance of waste separation for a sustainable environment. The Gebze Mayor Zinnur Büyükgöz, who did not leave the students alone on the first day of the field work, also provided information to the citizens. |
