Joint activities between Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti (PGU), Romania, and Gebze Technical University were initiated under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Selçuk Toprak from the Department of Civil Engineering at GTU.
Prof. Toprak, GTU International Relations Coordinator Dr. Mevlüdiye Güzel and some students participated in the Erasmus+ International Week held by PGU between 19-23 April, and possible collaboration opportunities were evaluated.
As a beginning, the two universities will work together in the EU project titled "Smart Decision Tools for Reducing Hazards to Our Environment and Water Resources by Rehabilitating Open Dumps”, which will start on 1 June 2021.
