24-25 Spring / City and Regional Planning Graduate Program Applications

 

Dear Candidates,

 

Applications for the Master's program conducted by Gebze Technical University Department of Urban and Regional Planning are now open. You can make your applications until January 15, 2025 by reviewing the announcements on the web page of our university.

 

The list of candidates who meet the application requirements and who are eligible to participate in the Graduate Entrance Examination will be announced on the web page of our university on January 24, 2025.

 

ŞBP Graduate Entrance Exam Details:

Date: January 29, 2025 - Wednesday

Time: 11.00

Location: Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Block M, M-113 (Workshop)

 

Only candidates who fulfill the application requirements and submit the required additional documents during the exam will be admitted to the exam. The relevant candidates will be informed about the exam process by e-mail on Tuesday, January 28, 2024.

 

Additional Documents Required for the Entrance Exam:

 

As stated in the Graduate School announcements, candidates who pass the preliminary evaluation are expected to provide portfolio, letter of intent and reference letter documents during the Graduate Entrance Exam. Explanations regarding the relevant documents are given below.

 

Portfolio: The candidate must prepare a portfolio that showcases his/her academic and professional work with visual and written examples. A printed version of this document must be submitted at the Graduate Entrance Examination. There is no standardized format for the portfolio.

 

Letter of Intent: The candidate should prepare a Letter of Intent expressing his/her goals for graduate study, motivation and reasons for joining the program. A printed version of this letter must be submitted at the Graduate Entrance Examination. There is no standardized format for the Letter of Intent.

Letter of Reference: One letter of reference is required for graduate applications. The letter of reference must be submitted in a sealed envelope, with the back cover of the envelope signed by the referee, at the time of the entrance exam. There is no standardized format for the reference letter.

 

Final semester students and graduates who will apply for a Master's degree can obtain their letters of reference from a faculty member from whom they took a course in their undergraduate program. Graduate applicants may also obtain a reference letter from their supervisors if they are working in a sector-related workplace. It is important that the reference is from a workplace that can provide experience or competence in the field applied for.

 

The above additional documents must be brought to the Graduate Entrance Examination by the candidates on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. Candidates will not be admitted to the exam if the announced documents are not brought.
