Student Representative Election for the Department of City and Regional Planning

 

Student Representative elections for the Department of Urban and Regional Planning for the year 2024 will be held on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at 13.00.

 

Students who want to be a candidate for Student Representative should apply with a petition to the Department of City and Regional Planning Secretariat (N block Administrative floor, Emine Çakmak) until Friday, November 22, 2024 at 17.00.

Transcript and “no disciplinary offense letter” must be attached to the petition.

 

NOMINATION APPLICATION CONDITIONS

 

  • Being a student enrolled at least in the second year in the Department of City and Regional Planning (first year students cannot be candidates but can vote),
  • Not being a member or officer in political party organs,
  • Not having a criminal record for disgraceful crimes,
  • No disciplinary penalty other than warning,
  • Not having been suspended during the election period,
  • GPA of 2.75 out of 4 and above,
  • No affiliation or association with or contact with terrorist organizations.

 

ELECTION PROCESS

 

The polling place for the City and Regional Planning Department Representative elections has been determined as M Block 113.

Students who will vote are required to have their student IDs with them.

Voting will start at 13.00 on Thursday, November 28, 2024 and end at 14.00.

As a result of the election, the student who receives the votes of the absolute majority of those participating in the election will be elected as the Department Representative.
