ABOUT THE COMPETITION
City and Regional Planning Department Students Graduation Project Competition 2024 has been planned in line with the principle of ensuring coordination, cooperation and continuous information flow between TMMOB Chamber of City Planners and planning schools, as stated in the “Turkish Planning Schools Association” (TUPOB) Cooperation Preliminary Protocol signed on February 10, 2004.
The aim of the competition is to ensure that the students of the Department of City and Regional Planning, who will be the practitioners of the planning profession in the near future, have the opportunity to experience the competition experience under the roof of the professional chamber and to further strengthen the bond between the professional chamber and the city and regional planner candidates. It also aims to enable the units related to the planning discipline to discover dynamic, entrepreneurial, creative in producing solutions, and open to critical thinking urban and regional planner candidates.
The competition is also an important practice in explaining and promoting the planning profession to the society by enabling the comparison of the education systems given in the City and Regional Planning Departments of the universities in our country and making inferences, giving the competition a traditional identity. The subject of the competition is the diploma project, graduation project, graduation project (final year workshop) and report studies that will cover the subjects and scales of the work of the City and Regional Planning Departments in the year of the competition. The subjects of the competition are selected each year by the Departments of City and Regional Planning.
