As part of the European Union-supported Turkey Sustainable Buildings Network Project, implemented by WRI Turkey, the Sustainable Buildings Hackathon Competition for students will take place on December 20, 2025, hosted by the Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Architecture. Students will receive mentoring and capacity-building support through online preparatory sessions beforehand.
The hackathon provides an opportunity for fourth-year undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students at universities in Istanbul (including Gebze Technical University) to develop innovative ideas for climate-resilient, zero-carbon, and energy-efficient buildings. At the end of the event, the most successful team will receive free participation in the International Certified Passive House Designer Training.
