Plant genome editing is a topic of enormous scientific and policy importance as a potential strategy to mitigate the impacts of climate change, changes in plant disease patterns and ensure nutritional security. This event is the 5th Congress associated with the 'PlantEd: Genome Editing in Plants' project, which will bring together technology and policy experts to explore how to advance developments in agricultural biotechnology in the era of genome editing. The Congress will be hosted by 19 Mayıs University, Samsun. Dr. Yelda Özden Çiftçi, Director of ATAM and Head of MBG Department, has been invited to the congress as an invited speaker and will make an oral presentation on “Our recent studies on gene editing” in this congress where the knowledge gained after the COST Action PlantEd, 2019-2023 will be shared with the subject experts.
