UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED
Dear students
In accordance with the Gebze Technical University Student Council Directive, the election of the Student Representative of the Department of Mathematics will be held.
Students who want to be a candidate;
Be a student enrolled in at least the second year of the Department of Mathematics,
not being a member or officer in political party organs,
has not committed a disgraceful offence requiring suspension from higher education institutions,
not having received any disciplinary penalty other than warning penalty,
GPA of 2.75 out of 4 and above, or 70 out of 100 and above,
has not been suspended from enrolment during the period of the election, and
not belonging to, being affiliated with or having contact with terrorist organisations
The candidates are required to submit their nominations to the Head of the Department of Mathematics (clearly declaring their candidacy and that they meet the above conditions) accompanied by a petition (including documents showing that they meet the above conditions - student certificate, transcript, disciplinary certificate, criminal record) to the secretary of the Department of Mathematics until the end of working hours on Tuesday, 22 October 2024.
The election will be held on Wednesday, 30 October 2024 between 11:00-15:00, after the end of the election, the votes will be counted and the results will be announced.
The candidate who receives the votes of the absolute majority of those participating in the election will be elected as the Student Representative of the Department of Mathematics for two years for one time only.
