Dear students,
A student representative will be selected for the Industrial Engineering department. You must apply by emailing ie@gtu.edu.tr or a.sariyar@gtu.edu.tr by Friday, October 24.
Qualifications Required for Student Representative Candidates:
a) Must be a student enrolled in at least the second year of the relevant faculty, college, conservatory, or vocational school,
b) Must not be a member or official of a political party (can be obtained from e-Government),
c) Not having a criminal record for shameful crimes (can be obtained from e-Government),
ç) Not having received any disciplinary penalties other than a warning (can be obtained from the transcript),
d) Not having suspended their enrollment during the election period (can be confirmed from the student affairs office),
e) Having a GPA of 2.75 or higher out of 4 or 70 or higher out of 100 (can be obtained from the transcript),
f) Not having any affiliation, connection, or contact with terrorist organizations.
Duties of the Department Student Representative:
a) To carry out student council activities in the department.
b) To announce the decisions taken by the student council bodies in the department and monitor their implementation.
c) To identify student issues in the department and communicate them to the relevant administrative bodies of the student council and higher education institution for resolution.
ç) To coordinate department student activities.
d) To represent department students in student activities.
e) To improve communication between students in the department and the department's administrative bodies.
f) To attend department academic meetings.
g) Prepare reports related to their work and create archives.
